Sundus Investments Projects has officially broken ground on the Sundus Rotana Hotel development. To commemorate the beginning of construction works on the landmark project, His Excellency Mohammed Al Ardhi, Chairman, Sundus Investments, and Selim El Zyr, Vice Chairman, Rotana, laid the foundation block of Sundus Rotana Hotel last week. 

The four-star business hotel marks the first phase of the mega Sundus Airport Heights project and will open doors to the public in February 2017. The hotel will feature 215 guest rooms including suites, a ballroom, six meeting rooms, an executive lounge, a boardroom and a fully equipped business centre. Guests at Sundus Rotana will also have access to a state-of-the-art fitness centre and swimming pool, an all-day dining, lobby lounge café, and ‘Teatro’ - Rotana’s signature dining concept.

The second phase of the project will include the development of Sundus Arjaan by Rotana featuring 85 luxury hotel apartments, including studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom units. The property will also host an all-day dining, lobby lounge café in addition to 24 hour room service.

Sundus Airport Heights has been designed to cater to business travellers and conference visitors. Located centrally on Al Maaridh Street in the Al-Seeb district, the site offers panoramic views of Oman’s seas and the magnificent Hajjar Mountains – two of Oman’s abundant natural treasures.

Sundus Rotana and Sundus Arjaan by Rotana will collectively span an area of approximately 40,000 square meters and contribute to driving Oman’s ambitious mandate for the tourism sector as outlined in Oman’s Vision 2020.
