In line with the hotel's corporate sustainability responsibilities, Park Rotana Abu Dhabi participated during the Earth Hour 2019 by switching off the non-essential lights in the entire hotel. 

Earth Hour is now the world's largest grassroots movement for the environment, inspiring millions of people to take action for our planet and nature by reducing their electronic consumption. 

By doing this, Park Rotana saved around 35% of their usual consumption on the day of Earth Hour, the biggest environment event of the year.

It's a time to connect with family, friends, colleagues, neighbors and even with people you don't yet know, in celebration of our natural world. 

In just a few decades, the UAE switched from having a traditional economy to massive and rapid urbanization. The result has been a wide range of challenges and threats to the nature as well as to humanity.

It's easy to forget how intimately connected we are to our natural environment - how our health and well-being depend on the land, the oceans and the creatures they support. We are all links in an extraordinary chain, and from the air we breathe to the water we need to survive, all the essentials of life depend on the strength of this interconnection.
