Al Bandar Rotana - Creek - Dubai
4 ways to beat jet lag when visiting Dubai

The team at Al Bandar Rotana, understand that you are checking in after that 11 hour flight from LAX or heathrow or Tokyo. We will make sure your room is perfect and check-in is smooth, but only half the battle is won through our service, here are four ways to ensure your next trip to Dubai is perfect...

1 – Be active.

We know the last few hours of travel were disrupted by the crying baby, or the countless bathroom breaks the window seat passenger disturbed you with and now all you want to do is chill and catch up on that sleep. But the endorphins released during exercise will keep you going until bedtime. The buttons below will guide you to more information about our pool and gym facilities on hand.

2- Be awake.

Yes it seems counter-intuitive to fight the sleep deprivation, but the first few hours in Dubai are crucial to beating that jet lag. We know our signature Rotana beds, and comfortable rooms are beckoning, but just remember how much better they will feel that night when you go to bed at the right time.

If you don’t have a meeting or engagement that day, keep yourself busy. Al Bandar Rotana is in the perfect location to visit the many tourist and cultural hubs of the city, check out the bastikya, the new Al Seef walk or even the Dubai frame; all are sure to stimulate the mind and keep you going. Read our article on the new Dubai Frame below:

3- Eat

Complex carb and heavy meals will only increase that ‘groggy’ feeling while you travel. Instead you should opt for magnesium and potassium rich foods, as these minerals act as muscle relaxants and will help you feel calm and sleep on the flight. Fresh ginger contains melatonin, a hormone that will help reset your body clock.

What ever time you land in DXB, Al Bandar will be able to cater to your needs, with 24 hour room service and three destination restaurants. The button below will give you more information.

4 – Hydrate

This seems like an easy one, but with all the flight connections, and the little plastic cup of water you get on the plane it’s also an easy one to forget. Lemons can help the dehydration, drink lots of water, travel is hard and the airplane air condition will surely be dry enough!

If you are planning a trip to Dubai, consider Al Bandar Rotana. We are  in the perfect location to reach all of the best parts of Dubai!
