It is our pleasure to welcome Melissa Reid to Amwaj Rotana again. We seized the opportunity to have a short interview with her to get to know Melissa, the person, better rather than Melissa, the golfer, who we all know and love.

The extracts from the interview can be found here:
I assume in your career you do a lot of travelling. When you travel around the world, which items are indispensable? What are the things in your bag that you have to always take with you?
I always need my phone and my charger, I miss my family and friends when I'm away so very important for me to stay in contact with them. I also think hand sanitiser is key when travelling so much!
On your numerous visits to Dubai, there must be at least one thing you tell yourself you HAVE to do each time you visit. What would that be on this occasion?
I always make sure I have dinner at Benihana’s at least once per trip. Whether we sit around a teppen table, or enjoy the outside terrace, It’s my very favourite. It’s very easy to over-eat there!
Exploring this area around the JBR, what are your favourite attractions or activities here?
I love the way they’ve re-done the beach-front area, it has a great vibe and encourages people to be healthy and active with all the exercise stations. There are plenty of places to chill and re-hydrate yourself afterwards.
If you were a macaroon, what colour would you be and why?
I would probably be purple as its my favourite colour.
It will soon be Christmas! What’s on your gift list for Santa Claus?
I need some new snowboard trousers so probably them for the coming ski season.
Another year is on its way. What highlights have you got planned so far for 2016 either for your career or from a personal aspect?
Golf appears in the Olympics next year for the first time in a long while. It would be amazing to represent my country in Brazil, and try to pick up an Olympic medal. Otherwise, I want to be really competitive in the Majors next year.
How has your experience of staying at Amwaj Rotana been?
The thing that makes the Amwaj most stand out for me are the staff. They are always so friendly, welcoming and helpful that I really can’t imagine a better guest experience anywhere else.
