In a testament to its philosophy of maintaining long-term relationships with both guests and partners, and as further commitment to social causes, Arjaan by Rotana- Dubai once more teamed up over the Eid Al Adha break with the UAE Chapter of the Palestine Children’s Relief Fund (PCRF), to present them with a donation of an entire hotel’s worth of used linen supplies.
The event, held on the hotel grounds, took place on Thursday the 17th of October, and was overseen by Arjaan’s administrative team and attended by representatives and administrators of the PCRF, all of whom are volunteers to the organization. The donation was made in the form of bed sheets, towels, napkins, and other housekeeping related linen items worth AED 15,000, all of which will be sent by the PCRF to children affected in Syria by the recent unrest. The donated items are a result of the hotels annual housekeeping replenishing routine.
“The contribution of these essential items will equip the children in (areas) of Syria for the coming winter months,” said Reeman Ansari, UAE Chapter President of the PCRF. “Our mission is to not only to help the children of Palestine, but also those affected by war and unrest in the neighboring countries. The children in parts of Syria most affected by the ongoing war are in distress and in need of medical attention as well as basic supplies. We are grateful to the management of the hotel for their contribution and look forward to their continuous support.”
As is customary with PCRF, the event was also attended by 14-year-old Ghadeer, one the PCRF’s patients from Palestine currently receiving treatment in the United Arab Emirates. Along with a previous patient, this was Ghadeer’s second visit to Arjaan by Rotana- Dubai, having attended a special charity Iftar held in honour of the PCRF by the hotel during the holy month of Ramadan.
“The Arjaan Rotana Hotel has been actively involved with the PCRF on an ongoing basis, and it gives us great pleasure in being part of their noble initiatives to help ease the suffering of the children in war torn Palestine and Syria,” said Mark McCarthy, General Manager of the Arjaan by Rotana- Dubai. “Through this contribution, we aim to establish a stronger relation with the organization, and pledge our support.”
