About the artist

With over two decades as a photographer, I still find myself most drawn to images that invite you to slow down.

From the very beginning of my photographic journey, I’ve been captivated by the quiet magic of stereoscopic photography, its depth, its nostalgia, its ability to suspend a moment in time.

Anaglyph is a series of stereoscopic images: a personal reflection and a quiet exchange with the island country that adopted me, Bahrain. This place has inspired me endlessly, just as it has so many others who have fallen under its spell.

What you’ll see here is not a documentation, but a translation, my attempt to distil and share what it feels like to wake up here, walk these shores, and see this island through both new and familiar eyes.

If these images offer you even a glimpse of what Bahrain has given me, then I’ll know I’ve shared something true.
